When energy matters
In 1922, electrical engineer Joseph Siat founded Socomec in his hometown of Benfeld, Alsace. His idea? To ensure the safety of the first electrical systems at a time when electricity was revolutionising everything: street lighting was appearing in major French cities, tramways were spreading, and industry was being transformed.
The very first Socomec products - alarm bells, circuit breakers, junction boxes - already met an essential need: to ensure the reliability and safety of electrical networks. When energy matters.
And now, 102 years later, nothing has changed. Well, almost! We’re still here, ensuring electrical continuity and safety in hospital operating theatres, transport network control centres, data centres and critical industries. When energy matters.
But today, the situation has taken on a whole new dimension. Electricity that has to deliver high performance is also electricity that needs to be more energy-efficient and more environmentally sustainable. With our products and solutions, we help our customers optimise their facilities, because the energy transition is a shared responsibility.
WHEN ENERGY MATTERS.
